Have a quick glance on the topics you have some
doubt.
2. Revise Synonym, Antonym and One word as much as you can. Do some exercise on spelling portion also.
3. Revise current affairs and General Science portion.
4. Revise the short tricks for time and distance, profit and loss, percentage, mixture & allegation and ratio & proportion. These will help you save crucial time during the exam.
5. Do practice /revision of spotting errors in English.

Sequence of attempting of sections in tier-I exam can be
- GK
- English
- Reasoning
- QA
2. Speed and Accuracy: as
well as timing play very crucial in
this exam as there is only 75 minutes for 100 questions. So just spend adequate
time for each section and if possible follow the timeline given below:
- GK- 6 to 8 minutes (Maximum 10 minutes)
- English – 15 minutes(Maximum 20 minutes)
- Reasoning – 20 minutes (Maximum 25 minutes)
- QA- 25 Minutes (Maximum 30 minutes)
General Tips
for SSC CGL Tier I Exam
Reach the venue before 30 minutes
It is
very essential for youto reach the examination venue before time. Try to reach
the place 30 minutes prior to the time the examination. This will help you to
avoid all kind of discomfort and problems that may arise while transportation.
Materials
to be carried
You
should keep in mind to carry all the necessary documents with them at the time
of examination. Voter card, admit card, pencil box are such items that need to
be brought by you into the examination hall. And off course a bottle of water.
Have a
quick glance
You should
have a quick glance at the topics and the questions that are given in question
paper. Do not take much time to take an overview of the question paper. This
process will help you to count on the time you need to solve each section of
the question paper.
Revision
of the Answer Sheet
After
completing the question paper and answering all the known questions, you should
check the answer sheet thoroughly. Revising the answer sheet can help you fetch
the wrong answers, if any. You can immediately change it as negative marking is
applicable in the examination. Try to avoid answering those questions you are
not sure of.

- To maintain your confidence level do some
light exercises, play any games that you like. Games or any physical
exercise is necessary to balance your physical and mental energy.

- Don’t take too much stress on the
difficulty level of the exam.
